Situated in Young's Park and just yards from the beach, this "kitchen and bar" is rightly massively popular. You will find it at Goodrington which is just beyond Paignton and on the road towards Brixham.

The menu is head and shoulders above most beachside establishments and it is super welcoming to dogs with both inside and outside seating - some of the outside seating is under cover.

The Guardhouse Cafe

Berry Head Nature Rescerve, Brixham TQ5 9AW

Fabulous cafe in one of the Napoleonic Forts up on Berry Head. Great place to go for a walk along South West Cliff Path and then treat yourself here. Food is absolutely first rate and the service is efficient and charming. Worth the trek over to Brixham. Being a cliff top position, we do recommend that your dog is kept on a lead.

The Strand Cafe

This wonderful cafe is situated on the Strand in Shaldon and overlooks the estuary and Teignmouth beyond. In the summer months it has the added benefit of an outside terrace. Dogs are very welcome inside. The food has a few nods towards French cuisine on the menu. There are daily specials. The quality of the food puts it in our top ten of recommendations and is complimented by friendly and efficient service.

Rumour Wine Bar and Restaurant

Situated about two thirds up the High Street, this is a fantastic place to eat. Being Totnes, there is a Vegan flourish to some of the food and even meat eaters will appreciate the vegan options on the  specials board. There is also a great pizza menu plus more than enough meat options to keep carnivores content. Dogs are welcome in the whole of the resturant. Can get very busy especially at weekends so might be worth reserving a table.
